Job description
About the Role
The Sales Executive will play a key role in supporting the Sales & Marketing team by performing general office tasks such as filing, emailing, typing, faxing, and copying. You will assist by preparing important sales documents including proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders. Promoting the brand image both inside and outside the company will be essential, alongside compiling brochures and promotional materials into organized information packages.
Core Responsibilities
- Apply sales techniques designed to enhance revenue while fostering guest loyalty towards Marriott.
- Manage data entry, retrieval, reconciliation, and verification related to commissions, leads, and third-party information using sales software.
- Respond to guest inquiries about hotel amenities, operational hours, rates, room types, special offers, events, and dining options.
- Serve as a primary contact for clients, addressing their questions and requests via phone and email.
- Adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by welcoming and acknowledging guests per company standards and anticipating their needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and by phone, applying proper etiquette.
- Build and maintain positive teamwork relationships, supporting collective goals and responding empathetically to colleagues' concerns.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Handle physical tasks involving moving or carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Work Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a related role.
- Supervisory Experience: None required.
- Licenses/Certifications: None necessary.
