Hostess

Position Overview

As a Hostess, you will welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, determining the size of their party and guiding them to clean, available tables. Responsibilities include preparing tables by placing clean menus, pulling out chairs, and ensuring proper place settings with napkins and silverware. You will assist guests throughout their dining experience, rearranging tables and settings for groups with special needs and maintaining the tidiness and readiness of dining areas by adhering to clean-as-you-go protocols.

Key Duties

• Welcome and seat guests efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of menus and dining furniture.
• Supervise the dining environment to ensure guest safety, service quality, and adequate seating availability.
• Comply with all safety and security guidelines, promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Uphold professional appearance, confidentiality, and company standards.
• Engage clearly and politely with guests and team members, responding appropriately to inquiries and concerns.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling objects up to 10 pounds.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications necessary.
