Steward

Position Overview

Stewards play a crucial support role across multiple departments within the hotel, including kitchen, food and beverage, and employee dining areas. They handle a variety of tasks such as maintaining cleanliness, preparing basic kitchen setups, and ensuring fresh linen and spotless dining ware are ready for guest use. Responsibilities include operating and upkeeping cleaning equipment like dishwashing machines and hand wash stations, as well as transporting dishware throughout the hotel premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company safety and security guidelines, reporting any maintenance issues, incidents, or unsafe conditions to management promptly.
• Complete required safety trainings and certifications diligently.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance with proper uniform adherence.
• Protect proprietary company information and assets confidentially and responsibly.
• Warmly welcome and assist guests, communicating in a clear and professional manner.
• Cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and support team efforts to achieve shared objectives.
• Ensure all work meets established quality standards and expectations.
• Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting for long durations, bending, twisting, reaching above head or below knees, and handling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background is flexible; no formal high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience necessary.
• No certifications or licenses are mandatory.
