Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Prepare for service by organizing table layouts and menus.
- Ensure all menus are clean and ready for use on the floor.
- Print specific menus related to buffet, brunch, or promotions as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and surfaces used.
- Set up Micros POS system correctly according to meal times.
- Stay fully informed regarding current promotions and discounts.
- Check daily emails and serVeme reservations for updates.
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing enthusiastic and excellent service, including answering phone calls and direct guest interaction.
- Arrange table plans based on reservation details.
- Monitor guest movements and changes, communicating with waiting staff and kitchen team accordingly.
- Take guest orders and provide necessary information, clearly relaying details to colleagues.
- Record guest preferences in their history files.
- Coordinate with kitchen and chefs for special requests, dietary needs, or restrictions.
- Handle service challenges and changes, while monitoring table turnover rates.
- Prepare drinks and snacks as needed.
- Perform cleaning duties during and after service hours.
- Participate in departmental meetings if required.
- Coordinate with managers or coordinators regarding large party reservations.
- Print daily package forecasts for half board (HB), bed & breakfast (BB), and full board (FB) plans.
- Bid farewell to guests warmly, encouraging repeat visits.
- Receive and seat guests, maintaining good communication with waiting staff and kitchen about guest needs.
Candidate Profile
- Must have a fun, outgoing personality.
- Female hostess experience is essential.
- Previous experience in customer service is required.
- Flexibility to adapt to various work situations and challenges.
- Excellent proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Should bring both strong abilities and positive character to the role.
