Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Hostess to join our hospitality team in Dubai. This leadership position involves being the initial point of contact for guests, managing front-of-house operations, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring an exceptional and inviting dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and professionally, fostering an inviting ambiance that aligns with our hospitality standards.
  • Operate reservation systems efficiently and manage table allocation to optimize seating capacity and guest contentment.
  • Supervise all host stand activities, including phone handling, managing the waitlist, and overseeing guest flow during service times.
  • Train and guide junior front-of-house personnel, offering constructive feedback to enhance performance.
  • Address guest questions and concerns empathetically, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with management, servers, and kitchen teams to maintain fluid communication and operational harmony.
  • Keep meticulous records of reservations, special guest requests, and preferences to personalize service.
  • Ensure that the host stand and entrance are maintained in an organized and clean condition.
  • Support special events, including private dining and group booking arrangements as necessary.
  • Demonstrate competency in using POS systems and reservation management software.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Between three and five years of experience in hostess or equivalent front-of-house roles.
  • Proven leadership experience including the ability to supervise, train, and motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with POS and reservation management software tools.
  • Strong conflict management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A professional, friendly demeanor and empathetic guest interaction approach.
  • Educational qualification: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic or French is a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of industry standards and hospitality best practices.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
