Role Overview
We are seeking a Host/Hostess who will warmly welcome guests with a friendly smile, assist them to their seats, and oversee the smooth flow of restaurant guests to ensure their experience starts and ends positively.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests by opening doors upon arrival and departure (40% of duties).
- Attend to special guest needs, including highchairs, boosters, and accessibility accommodations (35%).
- Coordinate the waitlist during busy periods when seating is full (10%).
- Support servers by assisting guests as needed (5%).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, completing assigned cleaning tasks (5%).
- Update the feature board and inflate balloons to enhance guest experience (5%).
Qualifications and Requirements
- A genuine desire to care for others and eagerness to grow and learn.
- Positive demeanor and attitude.
- Basic reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Physical mobility throughout the entire shift is necessary.
- Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds multiple times per shift.
- Capability to clean table surfaces, legs, booth seats, and pick up debris throughout the restaurant.
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent navigation of the restaurant, communication with guests, moving items up to 5 pounds regularly, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, and bending or stooping. Good vision for cleanliness assessment and operating touchscreens is required. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for applicants with disabilities.
