Role Overview
Speedy Hire, a leading tool and specialist equipment provider in the UK, is seeking a Hire Controller to join their London depot team. This pivotal role involves managing the hire process from order placement to delivery and return, ensuring seamless coordination among various departments to meet customer requirements efficiently.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Operate mainly from the depot desk, collaborating closely with stock teams, drivers, and engineers.
- Coordinate hire orders promptly to reduce delays and maintain equipment availability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to guarantee satisfaction with service delivery.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent organisational abilities to juggle multiple hire orders effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment.
- Motivation to learn and grow professionally within the company.
- Valid driving licence to support operational activities.
- Previous experience in hire, sales, or similar operational roles is preferred.
