About the Role
Join Speedy Hire, the foremost tool and specialist equipment hire provider across the UK and Ireland, renowned for a comprehensive range of products and services that cater to every job requirement. We are recruiting a Test and Run Technician to be based at our Castle Donington depot. This role involves conducting fundamental electrical and operational testing along with servicing, cleaning, and preparing returned hire equipment to ensure full safety and excellent condition for the next user.

Working Hours and Compensation
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 42 hours weekly
- Salary: £29,572 annually, pro-rata
Responsibilities
- Perform basic electrical tests on 12/24v equipment
- Conduct mechanical inspections and utilize tools competently
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper servicing post-hire
- Ensure all products meet safety and presentation standards before re-hire
- Contribute to team goals aligned with the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Strategy, Decade to Deliver
Requirements
- Fundamental electrical knowledge at 12/24 volts
- Basic mechanical skills and proficient tool handling
- Good verbal and written communication capabilities
- Prior experience in the hire industry or an engineering discipline is advantageous
