Role Overview

The Test and Run Technician position based in Aberdeen is a dynamic depot role focused on the electrical and operational testing, servicing, and cleaning of equipment returned from hire. The goal is to ensure all products are safe, functional, and in good condition for subsequent customers. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fundamental electrical testing (12/24v) and check operational functionality of hire equipment.
• Perform servicing and cleaning duties to maintain equipment safety and presentation standards.
• Support the depot team in delivering high-quality, safe tools ready for customer use.
• Contribute to the implementation of the business unit’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy titled Decade to Deliver.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess basic electrical knowledge focused on low-voltage systems (12/24 volts).
• Have elementary mechanical skills and proficiency in tool use.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Previous experience within the hire industry or a related engineering field is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A willingness and capability to actively support ESG objectives within the team.

Working Hours and Salary

The role requires work from Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00, totaling 42 hours each week. The pay rate is £29,572 per annum on a pro-rata basis.
