Position Overview

Join Walmart Canada as a Grocery Associate and gain valuable experience in a fast-moving retail setting. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grocery section, ensuring it is properly zoned and presentable at all times.
• Manage stock rotation proactively to ensure freshness by removing expired or damaged products promptly.
• Guarantee accurate pricing and signing of merchandise, adhering to ordering procedures, clearance processes, markups, markdowns, and laborious labeling requirements.
• Comply with food safety standards and sanitation practices to uphold a hygienic and secure work environment.
• Stock shelves completely and execute modular setups, including flexible modular displays and shelf caps, while applying necessary product protection measures.
• Follow health and safety regulations together with company policies to sustain a risk-free and clean workplace.
• Be flexible and available to work diverse shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, responding to business demands.

Challenges in the Role

• Effectively managing high workload during overnight and busy periods through proper energy and focus maintenance.
• Carrying out physically demanding tasks such as extended standing, bending, and lifting inventory up to 20 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performing repetitive duties consistently and with attention to detail to maintain department standards.

Compensation

The role starts at an hourly pay rate of $15.50 CAD.
