Position Overview
Working as a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in a fast-moving retail environment. The role involves maintaining a well-stocked, well-organized produce section while delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart’s core values. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the produce department clean, tidy, and clearly organized to ensure readiness for customer visits at all times.
- Regularly rotate products, removing any expired items to guarantee freshness and product quality.
- Verify that all produce items are properly priced and labeled, adhering to procedures related to ordering, clearance, price adjustments, and signage.
- Adhere to food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring, proper thermometer use, safe food handling, and honoring sell-by and expiration dates.
- Stock and destock produce as necessary, apply protective measures to products when needed, and set modular displays including flexible modulars and shelf caps to maintain full stock levels.
- Comply with all health and safety policies to ensure a safe and clean workspace.
- Be adaptable to varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, supporting store operations and consistent customer service delivery.
Challenges in This Role
- Handle a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced setting, managing workloads efficiently and completing restocking and recovery duties accurately and on schedule.
- Manage overnight shifts by planning and conserving energy to stay focused throughout the shift.
- Perform physical work that includes standing for long periods, bending, and safely lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out repetitive stocking, zoning, and organization tasks with careful attention and consistency to meet store quality standards.

Compensation
The starting wage for this role is $19.10 per hour.
