Position Overview
The Food & Consumables Team Associate plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. This position involves maintaining the food and consumables sections by organizing products, assisting with stock management, and supporting effective sales practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and zone the department to keep shelves, tables, and storage areas neat and products correctly located.
- Manage stock rotation to ensure freshness, checking for expired items regularly.
- Verify that merchandise is clearly signed and accurately priced.
- Follow strict protocols concerning cold chain compliance, including monitoring thermometer calibrations, recording temperatures, proper food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Execute procedures for product ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, and the appropriate labeling and pricing of items.
Additional Information
