About the Role
Join a leading digital health company specializing in dental practice management and billing solutions that rank among the nation’s best. As a Senior C++ Software Developer, you will become a crucial part of an agile team, owning the technical aspects of our premier healthcare software. The position involves maintaining and modernizing legacy C++ code, designing new functionalities, and implementing efficient database queries to support mission-critical health applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive C++ development tasks, ensuring system improvements and new features are delivered end-to-end.
- Maintain and modernize existing legacy codebase to improve stability and execution performance.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database schema using PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database management systems.
- Create and run automated tests including unit, integration, and regression testing to uphold certified software quality standards.
- Work closely with product management and customer support teams to understand requirements, address issues, and translate user feedback into software enhancements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience of 5 to 10 years in professional C++ software development with proven skills in legacy code refactoring.
- Strong expertise in SQL and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Proficient in Git version control systems and related tooling.
- Fluency in German at C2 level and proficiency in English at C1 level.
- Master’s degree (M.Sc., M.A., or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Eggenfelden, Germany.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Embarcadero C++ Builder, Microsoft Visual Studio, or Visual Studio Code.
- Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Interest or background in the digital health industry.
