Role Overview

We are seeking a General Operator to join our manufacturing team based at Manorhamilton Road, Sligo for a fixed-term contract of 12 months. This position involves rotational shift work operating within a highly automated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pharmaceutical processing activities within the manufacturing site and supporting areas in compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
• Coordinate team efforts to optimize productivity and effectiveness.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all operational activities in accordance with cGMP standards.
• Support training initiatives, including cross-training team members and onboarding new staff.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing quality, safety, environmental compliance, and production processes.
• Conduct commissioning and validation protocols regularly as part of operational requirements.
• Ensure cGMP compliance is maintained throughout pharmaceutical processing zones.
• Observe and uphold all Environment, Health, Safety, and Ethics (EHS&E) policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum education level: Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience working in a highly automated industrial or pharmaceutical setting.
• Competency with computer/IT systems relevant to manufacturing environments.

Working Hours and Conditions

The role requires working on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule across a 4-week cycle, including day shifts (08:00–20:00), night shifts (20:00–08:00), weekends, and public holidays. Hours vary weekly based on the shift rota.
