Job Summary
The janitor position involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of buildings. Responsibilities include thorough cleaning tasks such as floor maintenance, carpet shampooing, washing walls and windows, and waste disposal to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash in accordance with approved protocols and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors following established procedures.
- Relocate equipment and furniture to facilitate comprehensive cleaning, returning items to the original placement.
- Sanitize assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, adhering to an eight-step cleaning process.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Identify and proactively address areas needing cleaning.
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors diligently.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and county regulations while performing duties.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, as well as shampoo carpets as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members, demonstrating professionalism toward customers and colleagues.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, dishwashing, food and beverage, or janitorial roles is mandatory.
- Ability to work full-time including holidays and weekends, with schedule variations communicated during interviews.
- Must be capable of performing essential job functions efficiently and reliably.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage fixed at $16.00 per hour, payable weekly.
