Location and Working Hours
This position is based at Radius Matamata, located at 20 Elizabeth St, Matamata. The role involves working 30 hours weekly on a rotating roster basis.
Role Summary
The Cook will manage kitchen operations, delivering carefully prepared meals to residents within our residential care environment. Responsibilities include ensuring nutritious and appealing meals, adhering to special dietary orders, monitoring food temperatures, and managing portion sizes.
Key Duties
- Strict adherence to infection control standards and protocols
- Efficient handling of telephone communications
- Maintaining high-quality food standards
- Communicating maintenance issues to the catering manager
- Keeping storage and kitchen areas clean and organized

Candidate Profile
- Prior experience as a cook in a similar environment is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and dependable work ethic
- Friendly demeanor combined with excellent interpersonal skills
- Leadership experience is advantageous but not mandatory
