Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product development efforts as part of a self-directed engineering group, working side by side with Product Managers to shape project priorities and solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain comprehensive applications using Java and Spring Boot for backend and Angular with TypeScript for frontend development.
• Leverage AI-powered coding assistants and agentic workflows to expedite development, testing, and deployment while upholding high standards in software engineering.
• Conduct rigorous reviews of AI-generated code to ensure correctness, scalable architecture, maintainability, and adherence to security protocols.
• Take full ownership of software from design through deployment, including cloud infrastructure management.
• Integrate modern security best practices into all aspects of software development and proactively address potential vulnerabilities and security threats.
• Balance frontend and backend tasks dynamically in alignment with the product impact and business priorities.
• Contribute to a results-focused, low-meeting engineering culture by exercising significant autonomy and technical judgment.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong full-stack development background.
• Proficient in object-oriented backend development, especially Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Advanced skills in frontend development using Angular and TypeScript, with capacity to operate across the full technology stack.
• Experience in using AI coding tools or a keen interest in innovating workflows with AI-driven and prompt-based engineering techniques.
• Competence in critically assessing AI-derived code to ensure production readiness and avoid errors or unstable implementations.
• In-depth knowledge of secure coding practices and familiarity with current cybersecurity threat vectors.
• Proven track record in owning the entire lifecycle of software applications, from conception through cloud deployment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to function effectively in a highly autonomous, low-supervision environment with limited meetings.
• Excellent communication abilities and professional fluency in English.
• Demonstrated curiosity and adaptability, with a desire to learn and apply emerging AI-enhanced engineering methodologies.
