About the Role

This opportunity is for an AI Harness Engineer based in Saudi Arabia. The engineer will design and build systems that integrate human interaction with advanced local AI capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy new features and bug fixes prioritizing reliability, speed, and user satisfaction.
• Design and implement reusable modules, tools, and integrations for diverse AI model architectures and sizes.
• Construct and maintain AI agent harnesses, including tool invocation, agent control loops, context handling, and structured output management.
• Create evaluation frameworks and testing infrastructures adapted to AI systems with unpredictable behaviors.
• Develop and evolve peer-to-peer technologies supporting local AI and distributed use scenarios.
• Ensure software quality by adhering to coding standards, performing code reviews, maintaining modular architectures, and applying automated testing.
• Architect systems to handle failures such as network issues, AI model faults, timeouts, and retries gracefully.
• Develop and manage reusable npm packages and shared software components.
• Experiment with emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance AI and peer-to-peer functionality continuously.
• Collaborate effectively with a globally distributed engineering team, sharing technical concepts clearly and constructively.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of five years' experience in developing and maintaining software in production environments.
• Expert proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience managing complex state across synchronization protocols or agent control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to write modular, maintainable, and reusable codebases.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent harness construction, including tool calling, context administration, agent loops, and structured data outputs.
• Skill in designing evaluation systems and test frameworks for non-deterministic AI or other complex systems.
• Track record of creating, distributing, and maintaining reusable npm modules.
• Strong debugging and testing capabilities focused on producing reliable, high-quality software.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience working with AI tooling solutions.
• Interest or hands-on background with peer-to-peer networking technologies and distributed system design.
• Experience building robust systems capable of managing network interruptions, AI errors, timeout scenarios, and retry mechanisms.
• Contributions to open-source projects in peer-to-peer, networking, or AI tooling domains are appreciated.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote and distributed team setup.
