Role Overview

We are seeking a Food Systems Database Administrator to assist with the implementation of a new electronic menu management system, CBORD, across our villages. This role is ideal for someone from a Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Service, or Database Administration background who excels in data management, problem-solving, and ensuring data accuracy and reliability. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for part-time work, targeting candidates based in Auckland.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data entry, maintenance, and validation of food, menu, and nutrition data within the CBORD system.
• Manage a database comprising over 2,000 food items and product records.
• Verify the accuracy of nutrition details, allergen information, diet codes, and serving sizes.
• Identify and resolve issues related to missing, duplicate, or inaccurate data.
• Collaborate with suppliers, dietitians, and operational teams to confirm information.
• Provide support for textured modified diets including soft and bite-sized menus.
• Assist in system testing, creation of user guides, and preparation for system rollout.

• Troubleshooting and resolving data inconsistencies.
• Supporting system testing and implementation efforts.

Candidate Profile

You have a passion for working with systems and managing data precisely. Problem-solving and attention to detail come naturally, and you can confidently handle large sets of information without compromising accuracy. You work well independently and enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or qualification in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science, Food Service, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of nutrition principles, diet management, allergen knowledge, and food service operations.
• Proficient computer skills with experience using databases and management systems.
• Exceptional accuracy and meticulousness with data entry and validation tasks.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer-oriented and collaborative approach to work.
• Experience with menu management, food service, or healthcare systems is beneficial.
