Role Overview
We are seeking a committed casual Cook to be part of our team at Summerset Ellerslie. This position is more than food preparation; it is about delivering meaningful nourishment that enhances the wellbeing and joy of our residents.
Key Duties
- Prepare and cook production meals for the care centre, along with short-order meals for the café, in line with established menus and dietary requirements.
- Maintain high kitchen standards consistent with Summerset’s Food Control Plan to ensure compliance and audit-readiness.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen colleagues, care teams, and management to provide an outstanding dining experience for residents.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience as a Cook, preferably within healthcare or residential care settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety protocols; certification in safe food handling is desirable.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while upholding excellent standards.
- Willingness to work flexible rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
