Job Overview
This role requires providing expert financial analysis, consultation, and technical assistance to a governmental body in Dubai to enhance revenue generation, collection effectiveness, financial outcomes, and adherence to relevant government policies and regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth financial evaluations and studies focusing on income, fees, claims, and collection performance metrics.
- Examine revenue channels to identify and recommend methods to boost income and collection efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, laws, and government regulations is maintained.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, statistical assessments, and actionable suggestions to aid management decisions.
- Collaborate with governmental agencies and internal parties to address pending financial claims and support revenue recovery efforts.
- Offer specialized financial advice and consultative support to various department units.
- Assist in enhancing financial systems, operational processes, controls, and revenue collection methods.
- Detect financial risks, anomalies, and procedural deficiencies, proposing suitable remedial measures.
- Work with relevant teams to facilitate financial training and knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Preserve the confidentiality and protection of financial data as mandated by government standards.
- Execute additional assignments as delegated by the line manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Have 4 to 6 years of pertinent professional experience.
- Experience in financial analytics, revenue management, financial reporting, or government finance is highly advantageous.
- Holding certifications like CFA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA will be considered a strong plus.
