Finance Business Partner

Role Overview

Aramex New Zealand is actively looking for a seasoned and commercially astute Finance Business Partner to join its Finance department in Auckland. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role involves collaboration with leadership teams across Sales, Operations, and Account Management to bolster business results via advanced financial analysis and strategic support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities for designated business sectors.
• Generate comprehensive financial analyses, variance reports, and performance reviews.
• Construct financial models, develop business cases, and perform scenario analyses for strategic projects.
• Collaborate with business heads to offer commercial advice on pricing, investments, resource allocation, and operational choices.
• Track financial and operational key performance indicators, pinpointing both risks and growth possibilities.
• Enhance financial reporting, planning methods, and business insight capabilities.
• Assess profitability by customer, product, and market segment to inform commercial decisions.
• Contribute to projects aimed at raising profitability, operational effectiveness, and overall business outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Holder of a CA or CPA certification alongside a tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 7 years of professional finance experience with a minimum of 5 years specializing in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
• Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and analytical performance assessment.
• Strong commercial insight with effective stakeholder engagement skills at senior levels.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems; experience with BI tools like Power BI is a considerable advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities along with strong communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or other operational sectors will be highly valued.
