Finance Director

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Finance Director to spearhead the finance department, delivering strategic financial guidance and leadership to our organization based in Dubai, UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the entire finance function, ensuring robust financial governance and controls are in place.
• Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the company's goals.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and manage expenditures diligently.
• Supervise financial reporting, management accounting, and provide in-depth financial analyses to senior executives.
• Track budgets, expenses, cash flows, financial performance, and essential KPIs.
• Ensure adherence to Dubai Government financial policies, regulations, and relevant accounting standards.
• Offer strategic financial counsel and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Promote initiatives for cost efficiency, optimal resource allocation, and financial performance enhancement.
• Manage audits, treasury operations, taxation matters, financial controls, and risk management processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering continuous improvements in processes.
• Support strategic initiatives, including investment analysis, business planning, and organizational change efforts.
• Drive digital transformation in finance through ERP and financial system enhancements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Possesses over 12 years of progressive experience in finance.
• Mandatory previous experience working within Dubai government or its affiliated entities.
• Has held senior roles such as Finance Director, Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or equivalent positions.
• Deep understanding of government budgeting, financial governance, reporting, and planning.
• Strong expertise in enforcing financial controls, managing expenditures, and ensuring compliance.
• Exhibits a strategic, analytical, and commercially driven mindset.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities managing finance teams and engaging senior stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication with the ability to present financial data to executives clearly.
