Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Facilities & Operations Coordinator to join a reputable educational institution located in Dublin City Centre. This role offers an engaging, hands-on opportunity with significant responsibility for managing the campus environment to ensure smooth operations.
Key Duties
- Manage the daily functioning and preparedness of the campus, making sure that teaching rooms, examination halls, meeting areas, and public spaces are safe, clean, and ready for use.
- Coordinate both scheduled and urgent maintenance activities across the site.
- Oversee the performance of contractors and outsourced service providers such as cleaning, security, and facilities management teams.
- Monitor service quality and promptly address any outstanding issues to maintain high operational standards.
- Support health and safety protocols, fire safety compliance, risk management, and incident reporting processes.
- Serve as a pivotal operational liaison, maintaining accurate records and assisting senior leadership with daily challenges and improvement opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in facilities management, site or venue operations, or similar sectors with demonstrable skills in contractor and outsourced service coordination.
- Solid practical knowledge of health & safety regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management approaches.
- Excellent organisational and communication capabilities combined with the confidence and autonomy to manage responsibilities independently in a dynamic setting.
- A proactive, pragmatic, and composed demeanour with a keen eye for detail and strong follow-through.
- Experience working within educational, heritage, legal, hospitality, membership, or public-facing environments is advantageous.
Additional Information
- Due to the nature of campus operations, availability for late evenings and weekends is required.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is €48,000 to €55,000 annually, dependent on experience.
