About the Role
3D Personnel is recruiting for a reputable food manufacturing company in County Donegal looking to appoint a Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations by maintaining and repairing machinery and supporting preventative maintenance programs within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and fix faults in production machinery and automated equipment.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance activities to sustain equipment reliability.
- Keep detailed maintenance documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting plant performance and dependability.
- Assist in maintaining site facilities and infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to prioritize and address maintenance needs.
- Manage engineering stores and maintain adequate spare parts inventory.
- Support training efforts to ensure production staff operate equipment safely.
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
Essential Candidate Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering qualification or completion of an electrical apprenticeship.
- Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing settings.
- Strong skills in diagnosing faults across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies.
- Effective communication abilities with a strong command of English.
- Proven record of stability and long-term employment in previous roles.
Preferred Candidate Attributes
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or other regulated production industries.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques.
- Experience working with automated production machinery and control systems.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of €45,000.
- Evening shift premium of 12%.
- Standard workweek Monday to Friday, 39 hours.
- Overtime rates: time and a half after 39 hours; Saturday time and a half until 1pm and double time after; Sunday double time (infrequently required).
