Job description
Overview
The role focuses on overseeing the quality assurance processes in structural steel fabrication to ensure the final product meets approved standards and specifications.
Key Duties
- Examine fabricated steel structures against approved engineering drawings.
- Verify dimensional accuracy, proper alignment, and adherence to fabrication standards.
- Perform visual assessments of welding workmanship to ensure integrity.
- Inspect surface preparation and evaluate the quality of final paint coatings, including measuring dry film thickness (DFT).
- Detect defects and collaborate with the production team for timely corrections.
- Document all inspection activities and maintain accurate quality records.
- Confirm that all quality requirements are met before the final dispatch of structures.
Experience Requirement
Applicants should have between 1 to 2 years of practical experience in structural steel fabrication quality control processes.
