About the Role

CivilandScape is seeking a qualified and experienced Estimator specializing in landscape and civil works. The position is based at our Rozelle Head Office in New South Wales and offers exposure to a varied portfolio that includes high-end residential projects as well as high-rise commercial developments in city centers. We are looking for a professional, diligent, and well-presented individual to join our team immediately.

Prerequisites

• At least 2 years of full-time industry experience in construction, civil, and landscaping estimation
• Relevant tertiary education and qualifications in related fields
• Familiarity with industry standards and methodologies in construction, civil, and landscaping sectors
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Competency in writing and computer skills
• Possession of a current NSW White Card

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance especially when interacting with clients and the public
• Work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Aspire for long-term engagement, knowledge growth, and professional development
• Support senior management including the Managing Director, General Manager, and Project Manager
• Manage all aspects of tenders—searching, tracking, and maintaining submissions, expressions of interest, and project prospects
• Analyze technical drawings, scopes of work, specifications, and related documents
• Produce accurate plan take-offs, bill of quantities, and cost estimations
• Identify and clarify project-related information requests, risks, and assumptions
• Prepare comprehensive tender submissions for managerial approval
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Oversee supplier agreements and pricing negotiations to maintain competitive costs
• Develop and maintain preferred supplier and subcontractor lists in collaboration with project teams
• Monitor market pricing and client feedback to evaluate company positioning
• Contribute to market analysis identifying new business opportunities and revenue streams
• Prepare reports including statistical analysis aligned with company KPIs
• Assist in refining company processes and procedures within the estimator department

Additional Information

• Working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (five-day workweek)
• Compensation: Annual salary commensurate with experience
