Company Overview

An established general contractor operating across Florida with a strong portfolio including multifamily housing, K-12 and higher education facilities, government projects, industrial spaces, healthcare, and office buildings is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator. This mid-sized firm is known for diverse and strategic projects along the East Coast.

Role Summary

We are looking to hire a highly capable and detail-focused Senior Estimator specializing in multi-trade estimating. This permanent, full-time role involves contributing to various strategic construction projects by creating precise cost projections, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and supporting project execution while adhering to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant expenses for diverse construction projects.
• Analyze and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate estimation.
• Assess and verify subcontractor and supplier bids for compliance with project specs and budget constraints.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to address discrepancies or issues in project documentation and cost estimates.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential budget overruns and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Effectively communicate and present cost estimates and related information to clients and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed on industry trends, construction estimating tools, and methodologies to continuously improve estimation accuracy.
• Participate actively in project meetings, reporting updates on cost status and budget progress.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly with multi-trade projects.
• Educational background preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and current industry practices.
• Proficiency using estimating software along with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of making informed decisions under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with aptitude for presenting complex data clearly to varying audiences.
• Highly organized, attentive to detail, and adept at managing multiple projects concurrently.
