Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team immediately. The role involves assessing tender requests and documentation to compile and submit tenders accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Estimating Division, managing and reviewing tender requests.
• Analyze technical drawings, project scopes, and specifications thoroughly.
• Conduct plan take-offs, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and maintain project cost spreadsheets.
• Manage supplier qualification and pricing coordination.
• Engage with clients to manage expectations effectively.
• Compile tender submissions ensuring deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advise senior management on improvements to processes and efficiencies across the division and organization.
• Develop and manage business estimating templates and databases.
• Serve as the primary contact for all Estimating Department affairs.
• Maintain open communication with the Senior Leadership team to promptly address issues.
• Report directly to the General Manager.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Preferably tertiary education qualifications.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a related role, specifically within construction, civil, and landscaping estimating.
• Strong technical understanding of landscape and civil construction methods and materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF, and Project.
• Possession of reliable transportation.
• Workcover White Card holder.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
