Job description
Position Overview
The role focuses primarily on material receipt inspection and Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) performed at the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical receipt inspection of parts personally and prepare corresponding reports.
- Communicate non-conformance issues to suppliers by raising 8D reports.
- Coordinate with suppliers for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure closure of 8D reports.
- Perform audits on docked packed materials.
- Manage 8D closures related to quality issues raised by customers.
- Assist Supply Chain Management (SCM) to resolve packaging-related concerns raised by customers.
- Generate monthly reports summarizing receipt inspections.
- Develop and implement supplier improvement plans.
- Conduct audits at supplier locations when necessary.
- Arrange calibration of measuring instruments and gauges through third-party providers.
- Manage roles and responsibilities concerning the measuring system.
Internal and External Interactions
- Internal coordination with Warehouse SCM and NM Plant teams.
- External interactions with suppliers, occasional communication with customers, and coordination with calibration service providers.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
