Position Overview

This role primarily focuses on the inspection of materials upon receipt and conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDI) at the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Physically carry out receipt inspections for incoming parts and generate associated reports.
• Notify suppliers regarding any identified non-conformities by initiating 8D reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure timely closure of 8D reports.
• Conduct audits of packed material at the dock.
• Manage closure of 8D reports related to quality issues reported by customers.
• Assist Supply Chain Management (SCM) in resolving packaging-related problems highlighted by customers.
• Prepare monthly reports summarizing receipt inspection activities.
• Develop and implement improvement plans aimed at supplier quality enhancement.
• Perform supplier audits when circumstances require.
• Arrange for third-party calibration of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Maintain and review measurement systems and their accuracy.

Internal and External Interactions

• Work closely with Warehouse SCM and NM Plant teams internally.
• Engage with suppliers and occasionally with customers externally.
• Coordinate with calibration service providers.

Eligibility

Applicants must possess a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
