Job Summary

We have an urgent opening for a Machine Operator on the 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) at our manufacturing facility in Calgary. The role entails safely running designated machines that produce components and finished goods, fulfilling daily production plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation inspections on assigned machinery.
• Adhere to production guidelines and daily schedules.
• Operate equipment with safety as a priority.
• Keep accurate records using SAP system.
• Carry out quality assurance checks to comply with customer requirements.
• Print shipping labels and log production data accurately in SAP.
• Ensure correct labeling of all completed products.
• Use heat bond irons to seal packaging materials.
• Conduct routine upkeep and basic repairs on machines as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspace.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts based on Kaizen principles.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
• Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Ability to interpret measurements accurately using tape measures.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is an advantage.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• 1 to 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience is desired.
• Familiarity with systems such as UKG and SAP.
