Job Overview

We have an immediate vacancy for a Packer on the first shift at our manufacturing facility in Toronto. This role requires performing general labor tasks within the laminated mattress department, focusing on assembling various sized mattresses using foam components on the production line.

Primary Responsibilities

• Consistently apply adhesive to foam materials during assembly.
• Collect foam pieces from the kitting area according to customer orders.
• Carry out quality control inspections using visual assessments and tape measures.
• Label finished products and prepare orders for shipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and order within the department.
• Ensure reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience is not required but considered beneficial.
• Ability to understand and work with measurements and numerical data.
• Capable of comfortably lifting weights between 20 to 40 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and its proper usage.
• Flexibility and adaptability to perform varied daily tasks.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with team members.
• Organizational abilities and strong time management skills are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
