Engineer - Quality Assurance

Position Summary

The role involves conducting thorough receipt inspection of incoming materials and pre-delivery inspections (PDI) at the warehouse to ensure quality standards are met before acceptance.

Key Responsibilities

• Physically inspecting incoming parts and preparing detailed inspection reports.
• Communicating any non-conformities found to suppliers through 8D report generation.
• Coordinating with suppliers to determine root cause analyses (RCA) and ensuring closure of 8D reports.
• Auditing docked packed materials to maintain compliance.
• Managing 8D issue resolution for quality problems reported by customers.
• Supporting Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams to address and resolve packaging-related concerns raised by customers.
• Generating monthly reports summarizing receipt inspection outcomes.
• Developing and implementing improvement plans for supplier quality enhancement.
• Conducting audits at supplier sites when necessary to assess quality systems.
• Overseeing calibration activities for measuring equipment and gauges by coordinating with external third-party providers.
• Maintaining records and ensuring proper functioning (Review & Repeatability - R&R) of measuring devices.

Internal and External Interactions

• Collaborate closely with Warehouse and SCM teams and the NM Plant internally.
• Engage with suppliers regularly and occasionally liaise with customers as well as calibration service providers.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
