About the Role

Brian Perry Civil, a part of the Fletcher Building Group, invites you to join their Hamilton team as an Estimator. This role involves preparing competitive bids for civil infrastructure projects by collaborating with an experienced estimating team. You will assist in cost estimation, pricing, and tender preparations for diverse and technically demanding projects, playing a vital role in shaping communities and protecting environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate precise cost estimates for civil infrastructure ventures.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and contribute to first-principles pricing models.
• Assist in preparing and submitting tender documents.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project-related documentation.
• Solicit and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate closely with project, commercial, and delivery teams during tender phases.
• Help identify risks, opportunities, and establish pricing assumptions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over five years of estimating experience within civil construction, preferably with Tier 1 or large infrastructure contractors.
• A tertiary degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on involvement in delivering infrastructure or civil construction projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of estimating techniques, cost planning, and tender procedures.
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and tender requirements.
• Strong analytical abilities, numerical skills, and excellent organizational capabilities.
• A collaborative mindset and the capacity to foster strong working relationships across project teams.
