Role Overview

We seek a competent Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of heavy construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, piling rigs, and telehandlers. Operating from our Drury workshop, this role requires hands-on expertise to ensure the continuous and safe operation of project equipment during Monday to Friday hours, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

• Diagnose and fix issues with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance according to manufacturer and company standards.
• Perform thorough pre-start and post-service inspections, accurately documenting work on job cards.
• Ensure plant compliance with certification standards and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a valid trade qualification in Heavy Diesel or Automotive Engineering.
• Experienced in servicing heavy civil or construction plant including cranes, piling rigs, or other specialized civil equipment.
• Strong diagnostic skills in hydraulics, diesel machinery, and electrical systems.
• Possesses a Class 2 or higher driver's license.
• Competent in welding and fabrication tasks.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and technical schematics.
• Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills to maintain safety and efficiency across teams and sites.
• Displays pride in workmanship, able to work independently, and thrives in a safety-driven, dynamic environment.
• Available for occasional after-hours emergency repairs and travel to different project locations.
