Role Summary

The Engineering Associate Audio Visual ensures the optimal functionality, installation, and maintenance of all audio-visual systems across the property, guaranteeing seamless operation during events and daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Execute safe working practices including tag-out/lock-out and PPE use.
• Diagnose and isolate faults in wiring, connections, and AV equipment using testing tools.
• Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of AV systems to avoid disruptions.
• Ensure all AV rooms, control systems, and distribution panels operate reliably and safely.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory of AV equipment.
• Participate in Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings to coordinate AV requirements and confirming setups in advance.
• Operate and manage audio, video, lighting equipment during events, providing on-site technical support as needed.
• Perform routine system checks and support prompt resolution of technical issues to prevent event interruptions.
• Monitor and upkeep MEP systems, kitchen equipment, movable partitions, motorized rigging points within all event venues ensuring their perfect working condition.
• Work collaboratively with event planners and sales teams to coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly event schedules.
• Manage minimum stocks of AV operational supplies such as cables, extension wires, and tapes.
• Supervise and assist third-party contractors during event setups, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Train hotel staff on basic AV system operations and troubleshooting techniques.
• Communicate progress on maintenance tasks with supervisors and engineers, ensuring logbooks are updated timely.
• Adhere rigorously to safety procedures, hotel policies, and emergency protocols, fostering a clean and safe work environment.
• Attend all safety and technical training sessions, including fire precautions and toolbox talks.
• Use Knowcross application to monitor, respond, and escalate maintenance requests and emergency work orders efficiently.
• Serve as a brand ambassador reflecting the company’s vision, culture, and values while proactively managing departmental opportunities.
