Key Responsibilities

  • Examine electrical plans, specifications, and project requirements to formulate accurate cost evaluations.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs involving labor, materials, and equipment to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify the scope and resolve potential issues.
  • Source and gather competitive prices from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering while preserving project quality.
  • Ensure all estimates adhere to relevant industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Compile and present thorough bid proposals including cost breakdowns, timelines, and risk evaluations.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing data, and labor rates to enhance estimating precision.
  • Support contract negotiations, handling change orders, and adjustment of budgets during project implementation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in electrical estimating in the construction, industrial, or commercial sectors.
  • Familiarity and proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid or comparable platforms.
  • Knowledgeable about electrical codes, industry practices, and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
