About the Role
We are looking to hire a seasoned Electrical Estimator specializing in substations to join our dedicated team. This permanent position plays a crucial role in providing precise cost projections for electrical substation projects, directly contributing to the company's ongoing growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed cost estimates for electrical substation, transmission, and battery energy storage system (BESS) construction projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment expenses.
- Analyze blueprints, plans, and technical specifications to fully understand project scopes and requirements.
- Ensure all estimates adhere strictly to relevant electrical codes and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather comprehensive project data to support estimate accuracy.
- Compose and submit competitive bids and proposals aimed at winning new contracts.
- Utilize Accubid and EBM estimation software for enhanced precision and efficiency in cost forecasting.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in electrical estimating, particularly related to substations, transmission, and medium to high voltage utility projects.
- Proficient in Accubid and EBM estimating tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical code compliance and standards.
- Expertise in interpreting and reviewing blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and proposals.

Additional Information
Salary range for this role is between $120,000 and $200,000 per year. This is a direct hire, full-time, onsite position based in Akron, OH.
