Electrical Draftsman

Role Overview

The Electrical Draftsman will be responsible for producing precise technical drawings, layouts, and comprehensive plans through the use of computer-aided design (CAD) tools. This role requires close collaboration with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure all drawings align with project requirements, standards, and completion timelines.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create and update 2D technical drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Construct 3D models and visual project representations using SketchUp.
• Draft single-line diagrams (SLDs), shop drawings, and detailed construction documents.
• Generate as-built drawings and revise them to reflect actual site conditions.
• Prepare detailed layouts, plans, sections, and elevation drawings according to engineering and architectural directives.
• Implement revisions to drawings following project modifications, updated designs, and technical feedback.
• Verify that all drawings adhere to company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings for accuracy in dimensions, materials, annotations, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate regularly with engineers, architects, site teams, and stakeholders to facilitate accurate and timely drawing revisions.
• Organize and maintain records of drawings, revisions, and associated project documentation.
• Ensure all submitted drawings are clear, precise, and ready for official use.
• Meet project deadlines while upholding high standards for accuracy and quality in drafting tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD software.
• Solid knowledge of technical drawings, understanding of dimensions, scales, and drafting conventions.
• Advanced proficiency in English language.

Experience Requirements

• Two to five years of professional experience in CAD drafting.

Preferred Background

• Experience working in the solar energy sector is desirable.
