About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with a minimum of two years of proven experience in producing detailed working diagrams for escalator and elevator projects. The position involves meticulous preparation of dimensions and other engineering details to ensure successful project implementation aligned with company standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive design drawings and technical specifications for escalator and elevator projects, using CAD software, and annotate drawings with necessary instructions.
- Evaluate specifications, sketches, and related data to determine effects on component installations and establish correct procedures.
- Verify measurements of materials and assign identification numbers accurately.
- Update and revise designs to address performance issues and minimize installation or maintenance challenges.
- Print and organize all technical documents and drawings for easy accessibility.
- Maintain a thorough archived database of all design work completed.
- Produce illustrations for reference manuals and technical literature to explain operation and maintenance of elevators and escalators.
- Interpret layout manuals and cabling instructions to prepare all required layout drawings and inter-office documentation.
- Offer technical assistance to sales and installation teams and support the maintenance of elevator and escalator drawings.
- Collaborate with other engineers and staff to design, detail, and resolve issues relating to components and systems.
- Adhere strictly to all departmental policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols to ensure work consistency.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and practices focusing on best practices, business improvements, cost savings, and productivity boosts.
- Encourage compliance with organizational policies and procedures across Mitsubishi Electric.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least two years' relevant design engineering experience.
- Mandatory CAD certification; additional certifications such as REVIT or other design-related credentials are advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills including a solid grasp of MS Office applications.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Candidates must be Saudi nationals only.
