CAD Drafter

Role Overview

This position involves creating precise technical drawings, layouts, and detailed plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The candidate will work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and project teams to produce drawings that align with project specifications, standards, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and edit 2D technical drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Build 3D models and visual project representations through SketchUp.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), shop drawings, and comprehensive construction drawings.
• Generate as-built drawings and update existing drawings reflecting actual site conditions.
• Develop detailed layouts, plans, sections, elevations based on engineering and architectural inputs.
• Modify drawings according to design changes, project updates, and technical feedback.
• Ensure compliance of drawings with company standards, project requirements, and relevant codes.
• Verify accuracy of drawings concerning dimensions, materials, annotations, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, site personnel, and stakeholders to maintain accuracy and timeliness of drawing revisions.
• Organize and maintain drawing files, revisions, and project documentation systematically.
• Deliver clear, accurate, and submission-ready drawings.
• Accomplish drafting assignments on schedule while upholding high accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Strong grasp of technical drawing principles including dimensions, scales, and drafting standards.
• Fluent in English at an advanced level.

Experience

• Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in CAD drafting roles.
• Preferred background involving solar photovoltaic (PV), electrical, or construction projects.
