Role Overview
iTech Plast India, a leading OEM manufacturer of precision plastic components, is seeking a Design Engineer specializing in mold design. Based in Bhavnagar, the engineer will contribute to the creation and enhancement of molds for injection-molded plastic parts, ensuring product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop innovative molds for plastic injection molding, interpreting engineering blueprints and 3D models.
- Use CAD software to design detailed three-dimensional solid models of molds.
- Produce precise two-dimensional drawings that detail mold components essential for fabrication and assembly.
- Choose cost-efficient and suitable materials for mold construction, balancing quality and budget.
- Adjust mold designs following observations and feedback during trial runs to optimize performance.
- Document mold development by preparing comprehensive technical reports and testing outcomes.
- Provide guidance and training to engineers and technical staff on mold fabrication and design best practices.
- Keep abreast of the latest technologies and improvements in mold design and manufacturing.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess either a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Plastics Technology, or a diploma in Tool and Die Making.
