  • Establish rigorous engineering governance including secure coding standards, architectural reviews, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) controls, change management, audit preparedness, and key performance indicator tracking (availability, latency, defect rates, lead time, service costs).
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, and HR partners to align technical solutions with strategic goals and business challenges.
  • Manage vendor and platform relationships ensuring technical suitability, security compliance, delivery accountability, and commercial terms.
  • Foster an inclusive, accountable engineering culture committed to excellence and continuous learning, including responsible deployment of AI-assisted development with appropriate controls.
  • Define direction and governance for agentic AI-enabled engineering practices and software development lifecycle automation to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and optimize operations, while ensuring validation, security, traceability, and reusability across teams.
  • Utilize expertise in SDLC toolchains and enterprise-authorized AI automation technologies to increase automation benefits and scale capacity enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • Formal education or certification in software engineering fundamentals with extensive experience leading complex technical initiatives and teams.
  • Proficiency in modern full-stack development with React, TypeScript, and enterprise design systems.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale graph databases such as Neptune, Neo4J, or TigerGraph.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud data persistence technologies like PostgreSQL/Aurora and deep understanding of cloud-native principles on platforms like AWS, focusing on reliability, security, cost, and SDLC automation.
  • Expertise in backend and API development, particularly Java and Spring Boot, with strong knowledge of GraphQL and REST API design, versioning, and governance.
  • Experience architecting distributed systems, microservices, and integration-intensive platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of security and data practices including OAuth2/OIDC and service-to-service security standards.
  • Proven success managing high-availability mission-critical platforms with operational excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills evidenced by ability to influence senior business and technology leaders and lead high-performing, inclusive teams through coaching and talent development.
  • Thorough understanding of secure engineering controls such as identity and access management, data privacy, secure SDLC, vulnerability handling, and audit compliance.
  • Experience driving adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools with established quality, security, and validation guardrails.
  • Comprehensive awareness of responsible AI usage risks and governance in engineering workflows with ability to guide leaders on safe scaling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HR technology platforms and talent performance management workflows.
  • Proven capability integrating talent and HR applications with enterprise HR suites such as Oracle HCM and other vendor systems.
  • Knowledge of event-driven system architectures using Kafka or MSK including schema management, idempotency, and operational controls like dead letter queues.
  • Expertise in platform engineering best practices such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK), container orchestration (ECS, EKS), and API/event governance frameworks.
  • Strong emphasis on responsible AI-assisted engineering including secure use, quality assurance, and productivity enhancements.
