- Comprehensive understanding of business implications of engineering decisions including risk, controls, cost management, resiliency, and performance.
- Practical cloud-native application design and platform delivery experience emphasizing automation and observability.
- Experience leading enterprise adoption of AI-engineering tools with a focus on human-in-the-loop validation, quality assurance, and secure data handling.
- Commitment to responsible AI use with knowledge of data sensitivity, security, resiliency, and governance frameworks.
Preferred Experience
- Expertise in cross-product platform and database engineering, including cloud database services and control-plane platforms.
- Track record of establishing reusable frameworks, standards, and adoption strategies across multiple teams and products.
- Familiarity with AI-driven engineering workflows such as automated testing, agent-based tooling, documentation generation, and anomaly detection.
Leadership and Vision
The successful candidate will act as an AI-first engineering executive, setting the standards and operating models for integration of AI agents and AI-assisted engineering into secure, auditable, and production-ready software development cycles. Strong accountability for guardrails, quality metrics, validation frameworks, escalation protocols, and team-wide adoption will be core to this role.
