Job Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to elevate your career by pushing technological boundaries within JPMorganChase. As a Lead Software Engineer in the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls division, you will be a critical member of an agile team dedicated to creating, enhancing, and deploying secure and dependable blockchain technology products. You will take the lead in designing, coding, testing, and launching secure software solutions focused on safeguarding the firm's blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy controls for monitoring blockchain security.
- Create and maintain cutting-edge tools using API-first design, microservices, and event-driven architectures, emphasizing resilience, performance, and scalability.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines equipped with automated testing and integrated security mechanisms such as code quality checks and vulnerability scans.
- Implement secure software development lifecycle processes including threat modeling, secure code reviews, vulnerability fixes, and enforced configuration standards.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to incorporate blockchain security data and operational requirements promptly and accurately.
- Provide leadership and mentorship through conducting design and code reviews and promoting engineering best practices across teams.
- Ensure production system reliability by preparing operational readiness, diagnosing incidents, and driving continuous enhancements.
- Conduct technical evaluations during proof-of-concept phases and vendor assessments, advising on architectural and product decisions as a subject matter expert.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related fields.
- At least five years of experience building security analytics platforms such as Splunk within large or global enterprises.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language used for automation and integration.
- In-depth knowledge of data management processes involving ingestion, parsing, and normalization in security analytics contexts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address complex challenges effectively.
- Experience working in Agile teams using standard Agile frameworks.
- General understanding of cybersecurity practices, risk management, architecture, and engineering principles.
- Familiarity with domestic and international financial cybersecurity laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
