Executive Director - Precious Metals Trader

Role Overview

As an Executive Director specializing in Precious Metals trading, you will deliver customized derivatives solutions to corporate and investor clients around the globe. The role involves quoting and risk managing a variety of over-the-counter (OTC) products including spot, forwards, swaps, vanilla and exotic options, as well as futures and listed options. Additionally, the position encompasses participation in physical trading markets for gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.

Key Responsibilities

• Create markets in both standard and complex options on precious metals and their currency crosses.
• Execute strategic risk management for client orders and flow transactions.
• Maintain a strong client-oriented focus, fostering excellent relationship management.
• Collaborate closely with the bullion technology and Quantitative Research teams to advance electronic trading capabilities.
• Facilitate trade bookings on behalf of the business as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of eight years’ professional experience in Precious Metals, FX, or other macro derivatives products.
• Competence in evaluating and understanding trading position risks and market dynamics.
• Familiarity with or interest in options risk management practices.
• Ability to thrive under competitive conditions while prioritizing client needs.
• Capability to perform successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced, and transparent environment.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Strong discipline and adherence to control processes.
• Capacity to manage pressure and operate at a senior leadership level when required.
