Software Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Architect to lead the design and guidance of technical architecture for software products and platforms. The candidate will be responsible for transforming business needs into scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions, while setting architectural standards and best practices across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive system architectures, including distributed systems, APIs, data frameworks, integration layers, and cloud-based solutions where relevant.
• Assess and select appropriate technologies and define technical standards to guide software development lifecycles.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering, security, infrastructure, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and long-term technology strategies.
• Identify technical risks and dependencies, conduct architectural reviews, and assist in resolving complex technical challenges.
• Ensure software systems meet performance, scalability, availability, security, and maintainability standards.
• Champion engineering excellence through documentation, design evaluations, technical standards formulation, and facilitating knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, design patterns, and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in at least one contemporary programming language with the ability to interpret and assess application code.
• Comprehensive knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, databases, messaging systems, and integration techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, infrastructure, containerization technologies, and modern deployment methodologies.
• Expertise in scalability, performance tuning, high availability, reliability, and disaster recovery processes.
• Strong grasp of application and data security practices, including secure system design and access control mechanisms.
• Capability to evaluate and choose technologies, platforms, frameworks, and architecture approaches based on business and technical criteria.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and documentation aptitude, ensuring complex technical ideas are conveyed clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, balancing immediate delivery needs with strategic architectural goals.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle, code quality standards, testing, and engineering best practices.
