Role Overview

The Director of Communications will spearhead the design, execution, and evaluation of a broad marketing, communications, and public relations strategy aimed at elevating the hotel's brand positioning and image both internally and externally. This includes overseeing all hotel communications, publications, media relations, and client engagement efforts to maintain brand consistency and market relevance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing, communications, and PR initiatives that enhance the hotel’s market presence and public image.
  • Ensure consistent expression and communication of the hotel’s brand image and positioning throughout all departments and external channels.
  • Manage media relations proactively, maintaining regular contact with targeted outlets and acting as the primary media spokesperson.
  • Lead editorial planning, design, production, and dissemination of all organizational publications.
  • Supervise the brand-aligned presentation of all printed and electronic hotel materials, including stationery, brochures, and logos.
  • Set marketing/communications/PR objectives and budgets, monitor adherence, evaluate effectiveness, and report progress to the Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM).
  • Create short- and long-range plans and budgets, track performance, and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Stay current on marketing, communications, and PR industry trends and innovations applicable to the hotel business.
  • Oversee and coordinate market research activities, analyzing trends to guide strategic decisions.
  • Promote and embed the hotel's philosophy, mission, and vision across all operations.
  • Manage allocated budgets for PPC, SEO, and digital marketing, reporting financial returns to DOSM.
