Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities at their residences and within the community
• Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, housekeeping, personal hygiene and grooming, and transportation
• Encourage engagement in social, shopping, and community events
• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and recognizing progress
• Advocate for client choice, independence, and self-advocacy
• Document care activities and progress accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure consistent quality of care

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment
• Successful completion of background checks and mandatory training
• Possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Ability to work safely and respectfully within clients’ homes and community environments
• Exhibit compassion, reliability, and a genuine desire to positively impact others

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience supporting individuals with I/DD or autism
• Familiarity with Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS)
• Knowledge of foundational behavioral support techniques such as redirection, visual cues, and environmental adjustments
